The haunting vehicle-based sidescroller FAR: Lone Sails is driving on to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 2.
The game’s publisher, Mixtvision, made the announcement alongside the launch of a new trailer (embedded below) highlighting some of the accolades the title has received.
In FAR: Lone Sails, players take the role of the pilot of a steampunk ship/train hybrid as they traverse a post-apocalyptic landscape. The journey is a meditative one without enemies, though players must still balance the necessities of driving the unique vessel.
FAR: Lone Sails launched on PC in May last year and has acquired a Metacritic average of 80. The title began life as a bachelor’s thesis before being expanded into a full game, in part because of the remarkable reception it received.
The game is now available for preorder on both PS4 and Xbox One.
