the evil within

Director of the original Resident Evil and The Evil Within, Shinji Mikami, revealed that he will be at E3.

On Twitter, Mikami announced he will be at the conference this year. The Evil Within 2 was announced back in E3 2017, so, while a third entry could certainly be in the cards, Mikami could also potentially reveal a new IP.

Mikami is known for being involved with many beloved game franchises, including Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Phoenix Wright, and Dino Crisis. In 2010, he founded his own game studio, Tango Gameworks, which was eventually acquired by Zenimax, the parent company of Bethesda. Since then, the studio has released two Evil Within titles, so a third game would not be much of a surprise. Better yet, there is definitely a possibility that this third entry in the series sees its release on next generation consoles in 2020.

Bethesda has not talked much about what fans can expect at its conference, but there is definitely room for a reveal.
