EA and Steam

Publisher Electronic Arts announced a partnership with Steam to bring Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, as well as other games and services, to the platform.

In a press statement, EA revealed it is partnering with Valve to bring its games, including the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, to Steam. The game will release on November 15 and is already available to pre-order on Steam.

Additionally, the company also announced that EA Access will also be heading to Steam in spring 2020. The game subscription service has been available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One since 2014 and July of this year, respectively.

Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson stated, “Through our subscription, great games and more, we’re excited to bring players in the Steam and Origin communities together with access to the best games, whenever and wherever they want to play.”

Valve President Gabe Newell said, “This is a good day for gamers. We’re excited to partner with EA to not only bring their great games and subscription service to Steam, but also to open up our communities to each other in an unprecedented way that will benefit players and developers around the world.”

The director for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order promises a deep combat system, and the game also has Metroid-inspired level design.
