More Dreams gameplay has been shown off during tonight’s PSX fan event.

Dreams and LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule delivered a 10-minute presentation highlighting the possibilities available to players who pick up its new venture into playing, creating, and sharing.

The gameplay showed a small, cute creature wandering around some small platforming obstacles. Then, without warning, the game shifts to a noir setting in a subway station to show off the different possibilities that more creatively-inclined players can take advantage of. The footage below is only a small portion of the full trailer.

Dreamss gameplay footage was also shown as a way to announce the game will have a traditional story mode.

With the exception of last night’s Video Game Awards and a few trailers, Media Molecule has been noticeably quiet on details since the game was first hinted at in 2014. Regardless of low public activity, the developer is still aiming for a 2018 release. Alongside the presentation came a tease pointing to an upcoming beta for Dreams, though no window for that was specified.

Michael fell into the OnlySP team toward the end of 2017. You’ll mostly catch his work over in the news area, but that doesn’t mean he won’t dip into the features section every now and then. For him, gaming doesn’t get much better than Metal Gear Solid and Super Mario Sunshine. Though he is a die-hard Nintendo fan, he grew up on PlayStation.
