Dragon Quest XI

Square Enix has announced the western release dates and platforms for Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.

The latest title in the Dragon Quest series has already been out in Japan for some time, but the much-loved JRPG will finally be making its way to western shores on September 4, 2018. The title will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This release will be the first in the franchise to be available on PC.

However, the news comes with one downside to 3DS users, as no localised version for the handheld console has been confirmed. The Switch version of the game has also been pushed back and will not release until at least 2019.

Along with the western port comes a number of improvements to the base game, including a new Hard Mode difficulty option with revised menus and a first-person camera mode. The First Look trailer below showcases the updated graphics alongside some combat and exploration, with a brief look at the new menu system.
