Dishonored fans may be left in the shadows for quite a while based on comments made by series developer Arkane Studios.

During an interview with VG247 at this year’s QuakeCon, lead designer of the French studio, Ricardo Bare, says the stealth-action series is taking a break for the time being:

“I can’t say definitively what might happen down the road, anything could happen, but [Dishonored] is resting for now.”

Bare went on to talk about how Arkane may experiment with multiplayer elements. Still, he maintained that no matter what direction the team takes, fans can rest assured that Arkane’s quality will remain.

Dishonored 2 saw positive fan and critic reviews upon release, even if sales fluctuated quite heavily throughout its lifetime. Be sure to check out OnlySP’s review for Dishonored 2’s Death of the Outsider DLC.

Michael fell into the OnlySP team toward the end of 2017. You’ll mostly catch his work over in the news area, but that doesn’t mean he won’t dip into the features section every now and then. For him, gaming doesn’t get much better than Metal Gear Solid and Super Mario Sunshine. Though he is a die-hard Nintendo fan, he grew up on PlayStation.
