Devolver Digital has been cited as a potential publishing partner for a horror game by Suda51 and Swery65.

In an IGN Japan livestream, Suda51 and Swery65 announced that they are working together on an indie horror title called Hotel Barcelona. On Twitter, user Nibellion reported that the game would be published by Devolver Digital. This prompted the publisher to step in and clarify, “Haha. This is news to us.” Nibellion later backpedaled that Devolver Digital had been talking with Suda51 and Swery65, but nothing is finalized yet.

Other details were provided about the game, such as the budget being USD$1M, being inspired by the game Siren, and how the new game should be “easy to pick up,” which may hint at platforms like mobile and Nintendo Switch.

Last year, Suda51 explained how an official No More Heroes 3 release depends on the sales of Travis Strikes Again. Swery65 is also involved in the development of Deadly Premonition 2.
