Convict Games has announced the iOS release date of its debut title STONE.
The stoner noir will be making its way to iOS on April 8, 2019, as Convict Games revealed in January. The game will be available for iPad Pro and iPhone models 6S and above. Pre-orders are now open on the iOS App Store.
The mobile version adds new touch controls, and minor tweaks and updates for more casual players.
“STONE‘s episodically told,” said writer and director Gregory Louden. “So iPhones and iPads are a perfect match as you can play it in chunks like a TV series on the go or at home.”
STONE will be available for USD$3.99 USD / €4.49 / ¥480 / £3.99 / AUD$5.99, and will feature Australian English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese subtitles.

OnlySP’s Dominic Galeano spoke to Louden last year about the literary influences behind the game, including The Big Lebowski and Post Office. OnlySP’s Ben Newman enjoyed his time with the game, stating that “STONE, and its protagonist, have a lot of heart, and that shines the most.” The game received a free demo in November, allowing players to experience the opening three chapters of the game.
