Microsoft has officially announced that Destiny, Bungie’s next blockbuster shooter is now available to pre-order and pre-download directly to your Xbox One console.

The ability to pre-load games is something that PC gamers will be used to however One users are now getting a taste of this mighty fine service.

Pre-loading a game lets users download the full retail game in advance of its official release, then unlocking and allowing you to play it at midnight on the day it hits stores.

Destiny will unlock to One users who pre-load the game at 12:01am PDT on September 9th 2014. The standard edition of the game costs $59.99 and the Destiny Digital Guardian edition (special edition) costs $89.99, this edition of the game contains:

  • A digital download copy of Destiny
  • Access to the Vanguard Armory and Emblem pre-order bonus
  • Exclusive Ghost Casing, Player Ship, and Player Emblem
  • A reservation for two upcoming Destiny Expansions featuring “all new storylines, new cooperative and competitive activities, and new weapons, armor, and gear to earn.”
