New details about Hideo Kojima’s next project, Death Stranding, will be revealed later this week.
Earlier this week, the official Kojima Productions Twitter account a posted a teaser with the phrase, “Create the Rope,” alongside the date of May 29. Kojima later also posted a 30 second trailer also including the phrase, while a second, more recent teaser (embedded below) incorporated the phrase “Help Us Reconnect.”
Details about the game have been sparse over the past few years, but a substantial amount of information may be revealed tomorrow.

Sony showcased gameplay for Death Stranding at last year’s E3.
Speculation suggests that the game could be a cross-generation title with the next PlayStation, as noted from Wired’s exclusive interview with PlayStation 5 system architect Mark Cerny.
That report included the paragraph, “As in many other generational transitions, this will be a gentle one, with numerous new games being released for both PS4 and the next-gen console. (Where exactly Hideo Kojima’s forthcoming title Death Stranding fits in that process is still unconfirmed. When asked, a spokesperson in the room repeated that the game would be released for PS4, but Cerny’s smile and pregnant pause invites speculation that it will in fact be a two-platform release.)”
Death Stranding currently has no release date set, but this week could change that. The game is still confirmed to be in development for the PlayStation 4.
