Dead Nation is a top-down arcade-style shooter that released on PSN and was played by many people when it was given out as compensation for the whole PSN hack credit card info fiasco thing what omg. Dead Nation 2 is a possible sequel to that game, and although it doesn’t exist just yet, this recent concept art for the title is a hint that it may be coming.

The images were released on artist Djouad Amar’s site, and if they’re any indication of what’s going to be in the final game, then gamers can officially get very excited. Chief among the attractions are dinosaurs and blue troll-like beasts, which are as head-scratching an inclusion as they are very exciting. Why fight only zombies when dinosaurs need to be re-extinct?

In addition to those images, two concept art pieces for what is unmistakably a Walking Dead themed title have also been unearthed. They portray a Sheriff Rick Grimes look-alike, complete with horse, alongside other very familiar characters from the TV series. Whether developer Housemarque was at one point (or still are) making a Walking Dead game or if this is some sort of plan for tie-in DLC is unknown. Heck, it could even just be an in-joke between the devs. Whatever the case, it certainly looks interesting.

Stay tuned for more news on a possible Dead Nation 2 or twisted rendition of The Walking Dead, though there’s always the likelihood that both were cancelled.
