Double Fine have announced that Day of The Tentacle Remastered will be taking over PS4, Vita, PC and then THE WORLD! on March 22.

Originally released in 1993, Day of the Tentacle, was Tim Shaeffer’s first game as co project lead. Like the Secret of Monkey Island before it, it’s also regarded among adventure game fans (in particular this adventure game fan) as one of the best games ever made.

Taking on the role of three teenagers on a quest to prevent an evil purple tentacle from taking over the world, Day of the Tentacle is a mind-bending, time travelling, laugh-out-loud funny adventure, you will not want to miss (Trust me on this).

The new remastered edition features all-new, hand drawn, high-resolution artwork, remastered audio, a new commentary track from the game’s creators, and a concept art browser. Players will also be able to switch between classic and remastered modes, as well as mix and match what elements of the game they want in each to their hearts desire.

If that’s not enough, Day of the Tentacle Remastered will be a cross play title on PS4/Vita and is currently available to preorder on PSN with a 10% preorder discount and a bonus theme. PC pre orders are currently live exclusively at where the game will be sold DRM free with a 10% launch discount for the first week.
