Darksiders II is a mere week away from release and we couldn’t be more excited, well, I couldn’t be more excited as I have a review copy on the way alongside Sleeping Dogs. Two open world games in one week…ugh. Anyways, IGN revealed today a new mode that is found in Darksiders II titled, The Crucible.
The Crucible is progressively unlocked during your playthrough of the game and is essentially a survival arena. Visiting the Tome Stone is basically your hub for trading and receiving in-game equipment. Using an item called the Tarot card; you will unlock new stages periodically of the 100 stages available. After you complete five stages you are able to opt out and unlock a prize, or keep going to obtain something that could possibly be better. Some items are actually only available by completing the Crucible challenges.
