Bandai Namco has announced that for a limited time, gamers who pre-order the digital version of Dark Souls III from the Xbox One Store will receive the original Dark Souls; playable now on Xbox 360, and coming soon to Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility. The code for Dark Souls will be sent to  your Xbox message center within 7-10 days of pre-ordering Dark Souls III.

Along with revealing the pre-order plans for Xbox One, Bandai Namco also confirmed that Dark Souls III will have a season pass in a similar vein to “Artorias of the Abyss” from Dark Souls and the “The Lost Crowns” from Dark Souls II. So expect news bosses, equipment, areas and a hefty chunk of story which may run over multiple smaller expansions.

The season pass will be available on all platforms either by itself or as part of the recently announced digital Deluxe Edition which will include the main game, season pass, dynamic theme and official soundtrack.

Further details of the Season Pass will be revealed over the coming months. Dark Souls III, is currently scheduled for release on March 24 for Xbox One PlayStation 4 and PC.
