Publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Little Green Men Games have announced the release of Starpoint Gemini Warlords: Cycle of Warfare, which stands as the biggest DLC yet for the franchise.

‘Cycle of Warfare’ adds five new playable factions and starting positions as well as three new conquest scenarios and two new challenge scenarios in which players can take part. In addition, the new DLC brings something unseen in the history of the Starpoint Gemini series: an alien race available as a playable faction. The A’shriari are a cruel, unforgiving species who desire nothing but the eradication of humanity. As the A’shriari, players can shut down enemy infrastructures and pilot and command exclusive new capital ships. A powerful weapon of mass destruction is available for use from the A’shriari mothership, allowing players to burn entire planets, vaporizing any means of sustaining life.

A launch trailer for the DLC is viewable on YouTube, detailing the new features and factions available. Readers can check out the trailer below:

In addition to the ‘Cycle of Warfare’ DLC release, a new update is available that adds new content for owners of the base game, including encounters with rare enemy alien ships that drop epic equipment.

Starpoint Gemini Warlords is a blend of space simulator, RPG, and 4X strategy, incorporating features from all three genres. Players command starships, send war fleets into enemy territory, gain experience and skills as they level, engage in narrative dialogue, trade, mine, salvage, and fortify their base strongholds.

Starpoint Gemini Warlords: Cycle of Warfare is available for PC via Steam and other digital retailers for USD $9.99, with a ten percent discount during launch week.
