Cyber Shadow

Cyber Shadow, the effort from one-man studio Mechanical Head Studios, has a new trailer drenched in Ninja Gaiden panache.

On first glance, Cyber Shadow may bear similarities to last year’s The Messenger, but the title has been in development for roughly 10 years by its sole developer Aarne “MekaSkull” Hunziker. The trailer itself is filled with fast-paced, NES-era combat and art design:

Cyber Shadow is to be published by Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games. The publisher’s attraction to the project is easy to see given the stylistic overlaps between both games.

Described as the “quintessential Ninja Action game” by Yacht Club Games, Cyber Shadow‘s plot synopsis centres around the protagonist—Shadow—and their journey towards figuring out how the technological dystopia they inhabit began.

The title is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One. No release date has announced, but a USD$14.99 price has.
