Activision has made several tells, through Twitter and directly to influencers, that Crash Team Racing is coming back at The Game Awards tomorrow.

For the past several days, Activision has been sending out packages and notes to well-known figures in the gaming media. The publisher has done this before, having shipped out Spyro eggs in a similar way before Spyro Reignited Trilogy was announced.

Rumors of a remake for PlayStation’s beloved equivalent to Mario Kart have been circulating for a while now, but PlayStation Access presenter Hollie Bennett all but confirmed the reveal in a teaser tweet sent out Tuesday.

Fuzzy dice are a popular automotive decoration, and “sliding” into The Game Awards is a pretty strong giveaway that the tease is for Crash Team Racing.

Bennett’s tweet comes as particularly telling due to content creator and Twitch streamer AngelMelly posting a picture of a pair of Crash Bandicoot cookies that she received from GROUND and Activision just a day earlier.

With the success of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, released last year, Activision’s move to press forward in breathing life back into the Crash games of old is unsurprising. The game is likely to follow a similar release schedule as N. Sane Trilogy, dropping first as a PlayStation exclusive before making its way to PC, Switch, and Xbox One.

Look out for this remake’s unveiling starting tomorrow, December 6th, at 8:30pm EST when The Game Awards kicks off.
