In an interview with Official Xbox Magazine, Ken Lobb, the Creative Director of Crackdown for Xbox One, revealed some new information about the upcoming Xbox One exclusive.

Lobb revealed that while there are big plans for co-operative play in the game, it can also be played completely alone. You can make the choice about how you want to play on the fly while playing the game.

“We’re going more towards ‘there’s just the game,'” Lobb explained. “You’re playing the game, it’s single, it’s co-op, it’s a mash-up. Choose at will in the game, instead of hiding behind menus and loads and lobbies. [We’re trying to make] the gameplay as if it’s one big thing.”

Lobb also revealed that the new Crackdown is set in a different timeline to the first two games, and thus will not be titled Crackdown 3.

Crackdown for Xbox One was revealed at Microsoft’s 2014 E3 Media Briefing, and is set to launch exclusively for Xbox One. For more on Crackdown, keep visiting OnlySP and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

  1. If it’s like the first two games SP/offline-wise, this game is a must-buy. :)
