A reboot of the Crackdown franchise was announced earlier this year at E3 to the excitement of many Xbox owners. However, since that announcement, Microsoft has been very hush hush on any details about the game aside from the fact that it’s using the Cloudgine technology for destructibility in the game.
Phil Spencer has confirmed via Twitter today that we shouldn’t expect to hear anything further on Crackdown until 2015, as with many other Xbox One exclusives such as Gears of War and Scalebound. Spencer is sure to note though that there’s certainly progress being made on the game.
@Destinyuser Probably no Crackdown news for the rest of 2014. Team is making progress but they need time before we show anything again.

It’ll be very interesting to see what Cloudgine does with the franchise as they’re pushing for Red Faction level of destructibility. Cloudgine will be the first real indication of what Microsoft’s cloud servers can do.
