On October 3 2012, Cliff Bleszinzki, former Design Director for Epic Games, announced his departure from a career of over 20 years. Bleszinzki cited the decision as personal, claiming that he needed a break from the industry.

Since leaving however, Cliff and his wife have been touring around America, including visiting other notable games developers. It appears that this form of sofa entertainment is still close to Bleszinski’s heart, as it’s only been a month since his departure, and already he’s being linked to the industry from which he just left.

Well, in the fashion that wouldn’t be amiss in a James Bond movie, Blesinzki tweeted:

This was then followed by a photograph of said phone:

What do you think this could be gamers? A prank by a long term fan, or initial negotiations between Ubisoft and the big C? What projects would you like to see Cliff attached to in the near future? As a visionary, I’d love to see him work on, and then announce a sequel to the 2003 epic Beyond Good & Evil. Let us know in the comments below.

Although please, no more chainsaws.

  1. He&#039s on a real world tour with this one – keeping everyone guessing. He&#039s met with Vince Zampella, been to Valve, met with people at Legendary film studios, gone to Naughty Dog. Hell, he&#039s even gone to Zoic and just missed meeting up with Double Fine. Whatever he&#039s doing, he&#039s got a whole bunch of people curiously following his every tweet.

    The tease.

    1. Whatever he chooses to do next, it better be Epic. Haha, see what I did there? Epic… as in Epic Ga… Oh forget it.

      1. You possess a singular sense of humour, Daniel.

  2. I&#039ll admit I&#039ve been trying to follow his various networking ventures since leaving Epic. While some folks claim he&#039s cocky and obnoxious, I&#039ve always enjoyed the personality and passion he brings to an industry that is too often stereotyped as being filled with basement-dwelling mouth-breathers. Ubisoft would be an interesting option. There are definitely plenty of big-name IPs there. I&#039m hoping he will land somewhere that will allow him to develop a new and exciting license. Fingers crossed for a fantasy RPG I can nerd out with.

You are one heck of a guy to play the single player game by locking and losing yourself in the game world.Even I also had the same experience for only two days while playing fallout new vegas. That game was awesome and I completely lost myself in the atmosphere of new vegas. In my opinion cliff should join in Crystal dynamics creating tomb raider underworld sequel because I love that game so much.
