Sega, who you may remember as having bought some of THQ’s IPs during the recent action, now have the rights to Relic Entertainment’s upcoming RTS Company of Heroes 2. Yesterday, they announced that the game’s release date has been pushed back to June 25 and have also deployed some new screenshots.

The game’s producer, Greg Wilson, had the following to say regarding the delay:

“We hate to disappoint our fans with a later than expected date as we know they are eager to play but we feel that the additional time will help the team deliver the high quality sequel fans deserve. However, the wait won’t be long as players will soon be able to help us test and balance multiplayer in the upcoming closed beta. Details will follow shortly.”

As for the new screenshots, you can view all 16 of them below. A bevy of tank units are shown off, as are delightfully chilly arctic environments. Let us know what you think!

Stay tuned for much more new about Company of Heroes 2 in the very near future.
