Baldur's Gate

Skybound Games and developer Beamdog are set to bring several Dungeons & Dragons-inspired RPG titles—Baldur’s Gate I and II, Planescape: Torment/Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter Nights—to gaming consoles later this year.

Via its Twitter account, Skybound announced the enhanced editions of these classic role-playing games are coming to the PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One before the end of 2019. Each set of games will cost USD$49.99 and contain all previously released DLC. Additionally, these versions of the enhanced games are optimized for play on a HD television with a controller and will contain new gameplay features.

Baldur’s Gate I and II, along with new content from Beamdog connecting the storylines of each game, and the Planescape: Torment/Icewind Dale pack will premiere on September 24 in North America and in other regions September 27. Neverwinter Nights will come December 3 in North America, with a global launch following on December 6.

This announcement comes at a time when many are speculating that Divinity: Original Sin 2 developer—Larian Studios—is preparing to announce Baldur’s Gate III.
