Street Fighter V arrives on Playstation 4 and PC on February 16 and us single players have something extra to look forward to in the Summer of 2016.

The official Street Fighter Twitter account (@StreetFighter) have revealed that an update to the main game will become available in June adding a ‘cinematic story experience’.

Based on the video included, which can also be seen below, it seems Ryu, Ken and company will be taking on M. Bison once again after taking up his mantle as the main antagonist of the series. Some sort of extra-terrestrial attack forces the fighters into action, with series favorites such as Chun Li and Zangief joining new entries like Laura and Necalli to do battle in a narrative seemingly weaving them all together.

Netherrealm Studio’s Mortal Kombat series have redefined how to handle single player experiences in fighting games, so fans will be hoping that Capcom will take note from their counterparts with the highly anticipated premier entry of a current-gen Street Fighter.
