Cyberpunk 2077 (CD Projekt Red)

The developers behind The Witcher 3, CD Projekt RED, have stated that Cyberpunk 2077 will be the biggest game they have ever made.

From an interview with MCV, the visual effects artist Jose Teixeira had the following to say:

Cyberpunk is far bigger than anything else that CD Projekt RED has done before. Far, far bigger.

We’re really stepping into the unknown in terms of complexity and size and problems we encounter.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was a very large and complex game for CD Projekt RED to create, according to Teixeira, and their goal for Cyberpunk 2077 is even more ambitious than that.

The sci-fi themed Cyberpunk 2077 was announced in 2012 and does not currently have a release date or release platforms.

What do you think of Cyberpunk 2077 potentially being significantly larger in scope than even The Witcher 3? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to follow OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter for more news.

  1. Hopefully, the bullet points from the game announcement (@ CD Projekt RED Group Summer Conference 2012) are still representative of what the game will be like. :)

  2. This really made my day. It’ll make the wait that much more worthwhile.

    1. It’ll be coming out in 2017 or 2018, so they’ll have plenty of time to make a game on this scale since its been in development since 2012, so that gives them 5-6 years. Plenty of time.
