Devolver Digital has revealed that it will publish the “reverse horror” game Carrion.

The announcement came during the publisher’s latest off-the-wall E3 press conference. Players take the role of an amorphous monster stalking the halls of a science facility.

Players will grow and evolve their creature’s ability as the game progresses, though further details are thin on the ground at present.

Carrion was first unveiled almost a year a half ago. The game is being developed by Phobia Game Studio, which previously created the 2D shooter Butcher.

No hard release date is yet available, but Carrion will be available in 2020 on PC and unnamed consoles.
