Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is currently blowing up the multiplayer space with its ongoing beta, but single players will be able to join in the excitement in just a few weeks.

Activision has revealed that the campaign premiere will take place at the end of September.

The tease comes via a roadmap on the franchise’s official Twitter account, but no date has yet been set.

Instead, the positioning indicates only that it will occur in the last week of September following the conclusion of the crossplay open beta on September 23.

What is known so far is that Modern Warfare will act as a reboot of the original Modern Warfare trilogy, which ran between 2007 and 2011.

Captain Price will return, though the story will be updated to reflect the world of 2019. Exactly what that entails remains under wraps for now. However, Infinity Ward has talked about how it aims to complicate ideas of morality within the game to make for a more thoughtful, gritty story than in previous entries.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is scheduled to launch on October 25 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
