modern warfare 2 remaster fi

New leaks have started a firestorm of speculation regarding an incoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign remaster.

Within the last 24 hours, several leaks have added to the rumor mill including a trailer shown on the German PlayStation Store and several gameplay clips originating from German PlayStation 4 players.

The trailer was found by Call of Duty News and says that the game is ‘Available Now’, but has since been removed from the PlayStation Store.

On top of the trailer, several players have been uploading clips to Twitch showing off updated graphics for the infamous mission, ‘No Russian’. The clips have obvious graphical improvements and show off the ability to kill civilians in the mission despite the inability to do so in the previous German release of the game.

Activision has yet to comment on these leaks. The since-removed PlayStation Store page listed the game’s release date as March 31, 2020.

Last year, a PEGI listing revealed that a Modern Warfare 2 campaign remaster was imminent.
