Call of Duty

Single-players rejoice; this year’s Call of Duty game will come packaged with a campaign mode.

Activision gave its quarterly earnings call today and revealed a slew of new information. As far as game news, adding a story to this year’s Call of Duty title certainly takes the brightest spot.

Additionally, the upcoming game is on track to include a beefy multiplayer and even some nice co-op fun as well. Closer details on these updates have yet to be explained, but fans are likely to hear more in the coming months.

Activision’s decision to dodge a campaign in last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 definitely garnered mixed reactions. In terms of sales, the choice paid off for the behemoth publisher, as Black Ops 4 was one of last year’s best-selling games. Thankfully, the company still seems to have heard the cries of thousands.

Based on some of the news from last year, Activision has kept no secret that single-player mode are far from forgotten. One Infinity Ward job listing even eluded to a story-filled future.
