The high-octane shooter MOTHERGUNSHIP has locked in a July 17 release date for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Developed by Terrible Posture Games in collaboration with GRIP Digital, the game is a spiritual successor to 2014’s Tower of Guns. The title builds on the tenets of its predecessor, allowing players to create massive weapons and use them to defend the Earth against swarms of enemies.

In addition to the story mode, the game will include an Endless Mode and a Sandbox mode, pitting players against a gauntlet of enemies.

Following the digital release, a physical version of the game will be available for consoles some time in August. A demo for the weapon crafting systems in MOTHERGUNSHIP, which OnlySP’s Chris Hepburn took a look at earlier this month, is currently available.

More information about the game is available in the interview we conducted with the Creative Director, Joe Mirabello, last year.
