It seems the developer of Borderlands and Brothers in Arms, Gearbox, is getting ready to unveil a new game at PAX East.
In an invitation sent out to select press members, Gearbox has invited the press to a, “hands-off presentation from Gearbox and 2K developers you won’t want to miss!”
There’s a couple things that Gearbox might show off at this event. One possible scenario is that Gearbox will unveil its new Brothers in Arms game that’s possibly in development, but the more likely scenario is that Gearbox will re-reveal Furious 4. Furious 4 was revealed a couple years ago and was a spin-off of the Brothers in Arms franchise featuring Inglorious Bastards like combat. The IP may be entirely different now as it’s no longer under the Brothers in Arms franchise name.
The developer of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Firaxis, is revealing its next game at PAX East as well so we will certainly be on the lookout for that as well.
Gearbox confirmed last month that they are not currently working on Borderlands 3, so don’t get your hopes up for an announcement there.
