Borderlands 3 art, Epic Games

Borderlands 3 is just around the corner and now has some new gameplay to get players excited for its upcoming release.

Shown today during the Borderlands 3 gameplay livestream, Gearbox Software heads Randy Pitchford and Paul Sage showcased the laundry list of new content that players can expect come September. Check out the full stream down below.

Among some quality of life changes like sliding and generally more impressive graphics, the gameplay offered a more in-depth look at how abilities and enemy interactions will work. The footage also serves as solid reassurance that Borderlands 3 will bring back the series’s classic setting and tone.

In general, the streamlining shown in the footage is refreshing, especially when considering Pitchford said that the game is “much bigger than any other Borderlands game.” This point was expanded upon toward the end of the stream when the game showed off space travel and new planets to explore.

Some of the gameplay footage leaked just yesterday thanks to a slip up on Gearbox’s part.

Expect Borderlands 3 to launch September 13 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
