Borderlands 2 VR

Borderlands 2 will see release on a current-gen platform yet again, but this time as a PlayStation VR exclusive.

2K announced the VR version of 2012’s massively successful Borderlands 2 today along with a new, Pandora-filled trailer. Be sure to check the VR trailer down below.

Vault hunters will be able to pick up the title December 14 for $49.99.

Whether or not Borderlands 2 VR will include any of the past DLC is currently unknown, but 2K did clarify that the game will be single-player only. The lack of multiplayer functionality is a shame, especially considering the emphasis on co-op play in the original game. Thankfully, Gearbox has reworked different skills and abilities in hopes that the experience remains largely unchanged.

Gearbox has held up the existence of a proper Borderlands 3 entry with tech demos and statements in the past.

Michael Cripe
Michael fell into the OnlySP team toward the end of 2017. You’ll mostly catch his work over in the news area, but that doesn’t mean he won’t dip into the features section every now and then. For him, gaming doesn’t get much better than Metal Gear Solid and Super Mario Sunshine. Though he is a die-hard Nintendo fan, he grew up on PlayStation.
