borderlands 2

Borderlands 2 released nearly seven years ago, but that may not stop Gearbox Software from release DLC for the looter-shooter.

Thanks to someone PlayStation Lifestyle calls “trusted anonymous source,” the site got the DLC tip.

PlayStation Lifestyle reports that the DLC titled ‘Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary’ and will serve as “one last hurrah” for Borderlands 2. Additionally, the site says the add-on content will be released sometime during E3.

DLC seven years after the launch of a game as high profile as Borderlands is practically unheard of, but certainly not impossible. Borderlands: The Handsome Collection reinvigorated life into the sequel, so the player base is certainly there.

There is also a strong possibility that the DLC is nothing more than a quick bridge to this year’s Borderlands 3. With that in mind, some small DLC would actually make a lot of sense.

OnlySP’s Daniel Pereira recently talked about why Borderlands 3 is proof that practice makes perfect. Check out that story here.

Michael fell into the OnlySP team toward the end of 2017. You’ll mostly catch his work over in the news area, but that doesn’t mean he won’t dip into the features section every now and then. For him, gaming doesn’t get much better than Metal Gear Solid and Super Mario Sunshine. Though he is a die-hard Nintendo fan, he grew up on PlayStation.
