Beyond Good & Evil

Beyond Good and Evil 2 kicked off Ubisoft’s 2018 press conference this year with a brand new CGI trailer and some pre-alpha gameplay footage.

Footage of the action-adventure RPG took place in the sacred city of Ganesha, where players can play alone or with friends.

The game is a prequel set at the end of the 24th century and will see the return of classic characters like Jade and Pey’j. Though, one of the major twists that played out in the trailer showed Jade—the protagonist from the original Beyond Good & Evil—to be this game’s antagonist.

After a quick look at the gameplay, Joseph Gordon-Levitt shocked the audience when he took the stage to announce that Beyond Good & Evil 2 will be accepting music, pictures, and art of all kinds from users around the world who want to help contribute to the final product. This new initiative to pull in organic content has appropriately been given the name The Space Monkey Project.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the co-founder of online collaborative production company HitRecord, which will be assisting with the contribution of media to the game.

Michael fell into the OnlySP team toward the end of 2017. You’ll mostly catch his work over in the news area, but that doesn’t mean he won’t dip into the features section every now and then. For him, gaming doesn’t get much better than Metal Gear Solid and Super Mario Sunshine. Though he is a die-hard Nintendo fan, he grew up on PlayStation.
