After a slight delay to 2015, Battlefield: Hardline now has an official release date.

EA revealed its upcoming lineup for shooters through Holiday 2016 yesterday, giving Battlefield: Hardline a March 17th release in 2015. Along with that confirmation, Battlefield 5 has also been unsurprisingly confirmed, but it’ll be a while before we see it as the game will release in late 2016. Star Wars: Battlefront will fill in the Holiday 2015 gap in between the Battlefield releases.

Based on what we’ve seen so far from the Visceral developed Battlefield, the campaign may offer up something that FPS fans haven’t exactly been used to regarding the Battlefield series…a solid campaign. Visceral Games released a 15 minute gameplay demo of the campaign a couple months ago showing off some very open ended gameplay that looked quite similar to the Far Cry series, minus the open world.

You can check out that video just below if you missed it.

We’ll be sure to continue covering the single player portion of Battlefield: Hardline so don’t forget to follow us on  Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date.
