baldur's gate iii

After some rumors from a few weeks ago, Baldur’s Gate III has been announced for Google Stadia.

During today’s first Stadia Connect, Phil Harrison took the stage to confirm that Divinity: Original Sin 2 developer Larian Studios would oversee the project’s development. Watch the teaser clip down below.

The game is coming to PC as well, though a console release has yet to be confirmed.

Last week, Larian studios changed its website header image to an ominous three slashes. Some sleuths on Twitter did some digging and deciphered evidence of Baldur’s Gate III.

Larian founder Swen Vincke talked a bit about the game after the unveiling, saying the game will have “production values that are very, very, very high.”

Michael fell into the OnlySP team toward the end of 2017. You’ll mostly catch his work over in the news area, but that doesn’t mean he won’t dip into the features section every now and then. For him, gaming doesn’t get much better than Metal Gear Solid and Super Mario Sunshine. Though he is a die-hard Nintendo fan, he grew up on PlayStation.

  1. GoG has announced it too.

  2. Larian is not worthy to develop a Baldur’s Gate title. Baldur’s Gate series is known for it’s first class writing, which is definitely the weakest and cringiest part of the Divinity series. It is childish while at the same time comically over the top dark.

    1. Do you really believe Larian will write BG3 in the same style? Also first BG didnt have that great writing.
