Back in June we told you that Allison Road had been cancelled and that Christian Kesler was no longer working on the project. Today, we happily get to backtrack on that and let you know that Kesler has revived the project.

Speaking with IGN, Kesler told the publication, “I’m actually really happy to be able to announce that [Allison Road] will continue. We had a lot of support online and some folks out there are just incredibly nice.”

Kesler can’t provide any details on what exactly happened between him and Team17, Allison Road’s, former publishing partner, but he’s committed to getting the game finished according to his interview with IGN.

“It did take a bit of soul searching to find the drive again to work on Allison Road and to simply make a call on what to do next,” explained Kesler. “After the set back, I took a bit of a break from working on it and re-evaluated all the work that had been done so far — the whole journey, so to speak. I started making a few (in my opinion) necessary changes to the story and the flow, little bits and pieces here and there, and before I knew it, it sort of naturally came back to life.”

No comment was provided on what changes were made to the game just yet, so we’ll see about following up with Kesler to learn more about those updates later this year. No release date for the game has been provided at the time of this writing.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated with further developments regarding Allison Road so don’t forget to follow OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter for continued coverage.
