Afterlight, an upcoming puzzle-adventure game by Badland Publishing, has a new sand-strewn teaser featuring its setting Titan.

Titan, one of Saturn’s moons, comes across as very Mars-like with Afterlight‘s 2.5D aesthetics, weighed down by an undertone of isolation. Players—who assume the role of a lost astronaut named Xin—are completely alone aside for their robotic companion, who helps the player navigate the skeletal world of Titan.

With architecture inspired by the drawings of Lebbeus Woods, the game’s environments appear to be a major focal point for the game. The trailer itself is light on any story detail, but the video’s description is filled with information:

“After an accident, in which the rest of the crew does not survive, she will be forced to solve the mission in solitary discovering in the process disturbing events that will question their perception of reality. Afterlight is designed to convey emotions through unique situations and challenges, to tell a story of overcoming psychological disorders. One of our strengths is the relationship of our protagonist with her partner: a drone with AI specialized in medical and psychological evaluation.”

The trailer’s aesthetics look lovely and the Lebbus inspiration likely means the game will aim for something political. Check out the trailer, embedded below, and be sure to follow OnlySP on FacebookTwitter, and YouTube.
