A blog post by Playstation has revealed the US release date of Persona 5.

Persona 5 has been given the release date of the 14th of February. Responding to the idea some may be frustrated by the moving release date, from 2015 to 2016 to 2017, the PR manage of Atlus explains:

“Well, the biggest factor in the 2017 release date is attention to detail. When we show off Persona 5 at E3 next week (Next week!), I think you’ll understand what we mean. We’re making sure every bit is in place. Persona has exponentially grown as a franchise, and considering that this is our first numbered sequel since 2008, ATLUS is taking its time to ensure this is the best possible experience.”

In addition, the special edition version (dubbed “Take Your Heart Premium Edition”) has been announced to be $89.99. Coming in a large collector’s box, you’ll be able to get the soundtrack, a 4” plush of Morgana (Persona 5‘s version of Persona 4‘s Teddy), a 64 page art book and a school bag. Oh, and a steel cover box for your copy of Persona 5. If you don’t have $89.99 lying about but love knowing your Persona 5 CD is safe in case of a fire, you can also get a steelbook case by pre-ordering it.

Perhaps concerning, there is still no word of the EU/AUS release date, or if they’ve even lined up a publisher. Although if you don’t mind the P&P/tax fees, there is always importing from America since Playstation 4 and 3 are both region-free.

Persona 5 will be releasing onto PS4 for $59.99 and PS3 for $49.99.
