Resident Evil VII was just announced as part of Sony’s E3 conference, and it appears to be quite a departure from the most recent entries.

The new Resident Evil looks to be a first-person horror game, with less of an emphasis on action than its forebears. Sony also announced that the title will be fully compatible with the Playstation VR platform.

Few other details were forthcoming at present, including additional platforms, although the game will be available on January 24, 2017.
