Metro: Last Light is still barreling towards us, now under the publishing duties of Deep Silver after the recent THQ bankruptcy fiasco. A total of five new screenshots have just been released for the title, preserving the darkness and morbid atmosphere that fans have come to expect from the franchise.

The images, seen below, are a fine representation of the lighting and environment design that 4A Games are capable of. The unique shotgun design is back, and the irradiated, dilapidated surface looks just as harsh as ever. Take a gander for yourself and let us know what you think!

Metro: Last Light emerges on May 14 (17 EU) for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Be sure to visit our new forums to discuss the game!
